#GoodDeeds: ‘A Box of Sunshine’

Texas regional titleTexas Regional Title wanted to do something different to recognize their healthcare heroes. So, the Beaumont, Texas-based title company decided on “A Box of Sunshine” care packages.

Everything in the care packages was ordered on Amazon and all boxes were handmade. The boxes were delivered on National Nurses Day to three of the area’s local hospital. Boxes went to various departments such as ICU, Radiology and ER.

“We appreciate our healthcare heroes and recognize the sacrifices they are making to keep everyone safe and healthy,” said Kendra Broussard, marketing director for Texas Regional Title. “We hope our Boxes of Sunshine truly brightened their day,”

Food Bank Support

Through a combination of its companies and employees, Mortgage Connect donated nearly $75,000 to support food banks in various communities. Title Connect is a subsidiary of Mortgage Connect.

The contribution will help provide nearly 372,000 meals for families struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic in areas such as greater Pittsburgh, Pa., southern California, Denver, Jacksonville, Fla., Mt. Laurel, N.J. and Dallas.

“We applaud all those volunteers and non-profits who are on the front lines packing and distributing food to our neighbors in need” said Bryan Burkholder, division manager for Title Connect. “We are proud to have contributed to the meaningful work they are doing to help feed families during this extremely difficult time.”
